Cup tickets on sale for Vålerenga tie at Sarpsborg Stadion

Tickets are now on sale for Sarpsborg 08's NM third-round tie against Vålerenga on Wednesday, October 28. Season ticket holders have priority on their seats until Monday morning. The tie is the middle one of three home games in eight days.

Tickets on sale

The cup tie is set for Wednesday, October 28, with kick-off at 18:00 at Sarpsborg Stadion. It is a third-round match in the Norwegian Cup (NM), and ticket sales are now open.

Season ticket holders get first call on their usual seats. Their pre-sale right runs until Monday at 10:00. Everyone with a season ticket has been emailed instructions on how to secure their place.

All other supporters can buy tickets as normal through the club website and the club app.

A short turnaround at home

The cup match is the middle of three home fixtures in quick succession. Sarpsborg 08 host Aalesund in the league on Sunday, October 25 at 17:00. Three days later, on Wednesday, comes the visit of Vålerenga. The run ends on Sunday, November 1 at 17:00, when Kristiansund BK come to town.

For the stadium, that means three match days in eight days. Supporters who plan to attend all three will want to sort their tickets early.

Form and the league backdrop

Sarpsborg 08 reached this stage by getting past Follo in the previous round. The cup now offers a different kind of target from a league campaign that has been uneven.

The last home game in the league ended in a 3-0 defeat to Rosenborg on October 18, with the visitors 2-0 ahead at half-time. In Eliteserien, Sarpsborg 08 are 11th with 28 points from 23 matches. That is four points clear of Aalesund in 14th, who have 24.

Vålerenga are one place and one point ahead in the table. They are 8th with 29 points from 24 matches. The league standings will count for little on a one-off cup night, though. The tie is a straight knockout.

What fans need to know

The cup tie is a midweek evening fixture, so fans should allow for an after-work trip to the stadium. The 18:00 kick-off falls on a Wednesday, three days after the Aalesund game.

The club has not given any further details on the pre-sale beyond the Monday 10:00 deadline for season ticket holders. Supporters who want a specific seat should act before then. After that point, the remaining tickets go on general sale.

With a league fixture to play first, the home crowd will have plenty to get behind this week.
