Rosenborg Heading to Sarpsborg Stadion on 18 October
Sarpsborg 08 FF will welcome Eliteserien heavyweights Rosenborg to Sarpsborg Stadion on Sunday 18 October, with kick-off scheduled for 14:30 local time. The fixture is Round 24 of the Eliteserien and represents one of the most high-profile home encounters remaining on the club's calendar this season.
The ground, which holds 8,022 supporters, is expected to generate significant local interest as the autumn run-in intensifies.
Injury Concerns Ahead of the Clash
Sarpsborg 08 will be without at least two key players when Rosenborg come to town. Michael Opoku is sidelined with an ankle injury expected to keep him out until mid-October, while Frederik Carstensen is also listed as injured. Season-long absentee Johan Bakke remains unavailable.
For Rosenborg, Iver Fossum is dealing with a thigh injury and Dino Islamović with a calf problem, both sustained in early October, giving the visitors their own selection headaches ahead of the trip north.
A Crucial Home Run-In
The Rosenborg match is part of a busy home stretch for Sarpsborg 08, who also host Aalesund FK on 25 October and face Vålerenga in the Norwegian Cup on 28 October — all at Sarpsborg Stadion. With the league season entering its final stages, points at home will be at a premium.
Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early as demand is expected to be high for the visit of one of Norway's most decorated clubs.
