Sarpsborg 08 FF return to Sarpsborg Stadion on 16 August to host Sandefjord Fotball in Eliteserien round 18, with a local cup derby against Sparta Sarpsborg following just six days later. After two consecutive away matches, the home faithful are ready to make their presence felt once again.
Road Trip Before the Home Fortress Reopens
Sarpsborg 08 FF face back-to-back away fixtures in August before returning to Sarpsborg Stadion. The side travelled to Molde on 2 August for Eliteserien round 16, and then made the trip to Stavanger to face Viking at Lyse Arena on 8 August in round 17.
With both outings away from home, supporters have had to wait patiently for the next chance to pack out the terraces in Sarpsborg.
Sandefjord Visit Marks the Next Home Date
The wait will end on 16 August, when Sarpsborg 08 host Sandefjord Fotball at Sarpsborg Stadion in round 18 of the Eliteserien — kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 local time. Tickets are already on sale through TicketCo, and the fixture page on the official Sarpsborg 08 website lists the match as one of the most eagerly anticipated home dates left in the first half of the season.
After a 2–1 home victory over Fredrikstad back in May and a 2–1 win against Molde at the same venue, fans will be hoping the Sarpsborg Stadion fortress can deliver again against a Sandefjord side that will arrive looking to spoil the party.
Norwegian Cup Tie Adds to the August Calendar
As if one crunch fixture were not enough, supporters also have a Norwegian Cup tie to look forward to later in the month. On 22 August, Sarpsborg 08 face local rivals Sparta Sarpsborg in the first round of the 2026–27 Norwegian Football Cup — a derby clash that adds extra spice to an already busy August schedule.
The tie is listed on the club's official fixture list and will bring a different, cup-competition edge to what is shaping up to be a defining stretch of the season for Sarpsborg 08.

Sarpsborg Stadion, opened in 2008, holds around 7,500 spectators on its artificial turf surface measuring 105 m × 68 m. With two high-stakes matches pencilled in before the month is out, August looks set to be one of the liveliest periods yet at the stadium this season.
